MONTREAL – Stephen Howe will lead Bell’s wireline and wireless network teams as its new EVP and chief technology officer, effective January 1, 2011.
Howe is being promoted from his current position as SVP and CTO for Bell Mobility, where his responsibilities have included leading the rollout of Bell’s HSPA+ wireless network. In his new role, Howe will oversee Bell’s wireless and wireline network teams as they build and enhance the high-capacity broadband networks delivering advanced communication services to consumer and business customers.

Bell also announced today the retirement of J. Trevor Anderson, EVP Network, on December 31, 2010 after a distinguished 39-year career with the company.
