TORONTO – Fictional father Homer Simpson will be live for the first time in the series’ history during a special broadcast of The Simpsons on Sunday, May 15 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on Global.
During the last three minutes of the new episode titled “Simprovised”, the show will be turned over to Homer to answer questions live. Fans may submit questions via twitter, and viewers within North America can call (888) 726-6660 between 8:00-8:30 pm ET/PT to ask Homer questions. To keep the conversation going, a handful of writers will also be answering questions via Facebook and Twitter throughout the episode.
The “interview” segment will follow an episode in which Homer turns to improv comedy to gain back his confidence in his public speaking skills after his speech at work goes disastrously wrong.
