HomeGrid Forum, HomePNA Alliance merge

BEAVERTON, ORE. – HomeGrid Forum and the HomePNA Alliance, both U.S.-based organizations promoting the home networking industry, announced today they will merge under the HomeGrid Forum name. The combined organization says its mandate will be to promote the market migration of current generation wireline home networking technologies already deployed worldwide to G.hn, which HGF describes as the “any wire” technology defined by ITU-T open international standards HGS says it will guide member companies that are planning new networks based on G.hn as well as migrating from earlier network technologies to G.hn.
