
TORONTO — Hollywood Suite announced today its annual free preview will be available across Canada from Dec. 1 to Jan. 5 from participating TV service providers.
The freeview gives viewers unlimited access to Hollywood Suite’s four TV channels and Hollywood Suite On Demand (where available) including exclusive series premieres and holiday favourites, a press release says.
One of the series premiering during Hollywood Suite’s free preview is Italian crime series Gomorrah, which we told you about here. Seasons one through three will debut On Demand Dec. 1, followed by the Gomorrah feature film The Immortal and seasons four and five of the series in the new year.
Other programming featured during the month of December includes season three of the Hollywood Suite original documentary series A Year in Film, which “explores how movies reflect the events, mood, politics, and culture of their time,” the release says.
Covering the years 1971, 1980, 1997 and 2005, the latest season features appearances by filmmakers and experts including Atom Egoyan, Norm Wilner, Andrea Subissati, Eastern Yoo, Robyn Citizen, Emily Gagne, Becky Shrimpton, Adam Nayman, Radheyan Simonpillai and Charlotte Mickie.
Holiday-themed movies running during the month-long freeview include Love Actually (2003), Surviving Christmas (2004), The Holiday (2006), The Flight Before Christmas (2008), Four Christmases (2008) and Thomas Kinkade’s Christmas Cottage (2008).
