Hollywood Suite announced Tuesday its November lineup of programming includes the Canadian broadcast premieres of the new British crime series In Flight and the Canadian sci-fi comedy Relax, I’m From the Future.
Debuting Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. ET on Hollywood Suite’s 2010s+Movies channel, In Flight follows the story of flight attendant Jo Conran, a single mother blackmailed by a gang into using her job to smuggle drugs to save her son who is serving a 15-year sentence in a Bulgarian prison for a murder he swears he did not commit. She finds herself pulled into a murky underworld of corrupt cops and hired killers, forced to carry out their orders with no escape in sight, determined to keep her son alive.
Produced by Buccaneer Media and distributed internationally by Fremantle, In Flight is directed by Chris Baugh (Wreck, Tin Star) and stars Katherine Kelly (Mr Bates vs The Post Office) alongside Stuart Martin (Rebel Moon, Miss Scarlet and the Duke), Ashley Thomas (Them, Top Boy), Ambreen Razia (The Agency: Central Intelligence) and Julia Brown (World on Fire). After the first episode premieres on Nov. 7, a new episode will land every week until Dec. 12.
“Adding to our long-running list of UK series taking off in Canada, In Flight is a gripping new drama and we can’t wait to share it with our viewers,” said Sharon Stevens, vice president of programming for Hollywood Suite, in a press release. “Fremantle has always been a go-to distributor of impeccable dramas, award-winning comedies and beloved entertainment, so we couldn’t be more excited to be working with them to bring their shows to Canadian audiences.”
Premiering Nov. 10 at 7:25 p.m. ET, Relax, I’m From the Future is a 2022 sci-fi time travel movie directed and written by Luke Higginson. Starring Rhys Darby (Yes Man) and Gabrielle Graham (Possessor), the film follows a man from the future, now trapped in the past, who tries to make a life for himself, oblivious to the consequences he has set in motion.
Hollywood Suite’s November lineup also includes the premiere of Cinema A to Z: Perfect Pairs, a new episode of this original series, debuting Nov. 5 at 9 p.m. ET. This episode looks at 26 perfect on-screen pairings from throughout cinematic history, including Star Trek’s Kirk and Spock, Top Gun’s Iceman and Maverick, and Ghost World’s Enid and Rebecca.
