Hollywood Suite to air The Impact Series starting March 15


TORONTO — Hollywood Suite announced today it is the exclusive Canadian home for season one of The Impact Series, eight critically acclaimed feature documentary films focused on social and environmental issues, which will air Monday nights starting March 15 and will also be available to stream on Hollywood Suite On Demand.

Developed by media executive and entrepreneur Jim Sherry’s Screen to Stream Media, The Impact Series is a collection of socially relevant films from around the world which addresses “complex topics in an accessible and entertaining environment within a platform that facilitates thoughtful discussion”, reads Hollywood Suite’s press release.

“These films cover vital subjects, such as climate change and social justice, that impact our society today and we hope they will educate, spark debate, and ignite inspiration for transformation,” said David Kines, president of Hollywood Suite, in the press release.

The eight documentaries in season one of The Impact Series are:

  • Chicago 10 (above, 2007, directed by Brett Morgen) – Premieres March 15 at 9 p.m. ET
  • Now (2020, directed by Jim Rakete) – Premieres March 22 at 9 p.m. ET
  • To the Four Winds (2018, directed by Michel Toesca) – Premieres March 29 at 9 p.m. ET
  • Holy Mountain (2017, directed by Reinhold Messner) – Premieres April 5 at 9 p.m. ET
  • J’veux du Soleil! (2019, directed by Gilles Perret) – Premieres April 12 at 9 p.m. ET
  • The Great Invisible (2014, directed by Margaret Brown) – Premieres April 19 at 9 p.m. ET
  • 3 ½ Minutes, 10 Bullets (2007, directed by Marc Silver) – Premieres April 26 at 9 p.m. ET
  • The Divided Brain (2019, directed by Manfred Becker) – Available through Hollywood Suite On Demand on April 1 (linear broadcast in September)
