TORONTO – Hollywood Suite has once again nabbed the exclusive rights to this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) and the Film Independent Spirit Awards.
The BAFTAs, hosted this year by actress, author and activist Joanna Lumley, will air on Sunday, February 18 at 6:00 PM ET on HS00, with repeats at 8:00 PM ET and 10:00 PM ET. The show will be available on Hollywood Suite On Demand and Hollywood Suite Go starting February 26. Among this year’s BAFTA nominees are a trio of Canadians nominated for Blade Runner: 2049 — Quebec director Denis Villeneuve, makeup artist Donald Mowat and production designer Dennis Gassner. Now in its 33rd year, the 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards will be hosted for the second year in a row by comedy powerhouse duo Nick Kroll and John Mulaney. Live from a tent on the beach in Santa Monica, coverage begins at 5:00 PM ET on Sunday, March 3. Find the full list of nominees here.
