TORONTO – New independent broadcaster Hollywood Suite added to its senior management team Monday, just months before the planned launch of its four HD movie services.
Ellen Baine was named VP programming, Jeremy McCarthy is director of business sevelopment and Kerry Connelly is director of marketing. Additional appointments include Erich Neher as program manager, Ross Finkelstein as program coordinator and Sean O’Neill as producer/editor.
A 33 year veteran of the Canadian broadcast industry, Baine was vice-president of programming at CHUM Television before providing consulting services to media companies such as Obelysk Group, Descriptive Video Works, GlassBox Television and Bluepoint Investments.
McCarthy (pictured below with Cartt.ca editor and publisher Greg O’Brien and Hollywood Suite chair and co-founder Jay Switzer at the company’s official launch last week) has held an array of consumer and product marketing roles with telecom and entertainment companies over the last 20 years, including Bell ExpressVu, CHUM Television, Alliance Atlantic Broadcasting and SEGA of Canada. Most recently he was manager, content up-sell with Rogers Communications.
Connelly is a marketing and communications specialist with over 10 years of marketing and new business development in the arena of new media, film and the arts. After stints at the Toronto International Film Festival and Arts and Communications, she joined the senior management team of Vision Co.
Warner Films, Hollywood Storm, Hollywood Festival and MGM Channel are scheduled to launch in November.
