AUBURN HILLS, MI – Hirschmann and Novotech have announced a distribution partnership agreement for Iridium antenna designs that will facilitate accessibility of reliable worldwide communication in Canada.
Engineered for tracking and telemetry systems, the Iridium communication service is characterized by a mobile satellite communication network of more than 66 active satellites in low-earth orbit (LEO) to enable global voice and data communication. Featuring an impressively low transmission delay, the network covers almost every centimeter of the earth's surface, reads the news release.
"We're working diligently to strengthen the footprint of our Iridium products throughout North America," said Frank Homann, president of Hirschmann Solutions North America, in the release. "By adding Novotech as a distributor, we look forward to making our products available in Canada, as well as the U.S."
“There is a need for reliable communication in remote areas which are especially critical when you consider the requirements for military and emergency services, not to mention sea and air transport to name a few," added Novotech Technologies president Richard Hobbs. "By introducing the Iridium antenna line-up, we can better help our customers meet even their most demanding communication needs."
