Higher operating costs erode ATN’s Q2 net profit

TORONTO – Asian Television Network today reported net income of $682,562 on revenues of $6,85 million for its second fiscal quarter of 2013. While revenue increased by 8% compared to the second quarter in 2012, net profit decreased by 28%. The company said the drop in net profit was a result of an increase of $0.77 million in operating costs, arising mainly from increased depreciation, amortization and impairments, employee costs, and marketing and distribution costs.
