TORONTO — Corus Entertainment announced Wednesday the fall lineup for HGTV Canada, featuring new home renovation series and new seasons and episodes of returning favourites. The channel will also be on a national free preview starting August 28.
The new Corus Studios’ Original series Family Home Overhaul (cast is pictured) will premiere September 27 at 10 p.m. The series (8 episodes x 60 minutes) takes viewers on a quest to pay it forward to families that give back to their community. In each episode, host Cheryl Hickey (ET Canada) introduces a family nominated by their community for always giving back despite any hardships they personally encounter.
Together with Hickey, 14 of HGTV Canada’s top contractors and designers pair up to meet the family, tour their property, and learn exactly what is needed to transform this family’s life in their home, says the news release. With the help of friends and neighbours, the renovations are customized to reflect each family’s unique needs. When the family returns, they celebrate their newly renovated home surrounded by the community and reno team that made it happen.
Other new series premiering on HGTV Canada this fall include: My Lottery Dream Home International (September 1 at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.); Big Texas Fix (September 1, 11 p.m.); House in a Hurry (September 13, 11 p.m.); Beach Around the World (September 18, 10 p.m.); Welcome to the Jungle (September 18, 10:30 p.m.); and Help!
