Happy Canada Day! No newsletter on Thursday

THERE’S NO NEWS until Monday. At least not for us at Cartt.ca.

We’re all taking a few days off to be with family and celebrate Canada Day, which in 2020 is going to be a muted affair after three-plus months of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns and the widespread social unrest sparked by the police killing of George Floyd in Minnesota that has us all thinking about systemic racism in our society – both our parts in it and what we can do about it to help make things better.

After a little bit of time to rest, reset and reflect we will return (with masks on when in stores and other places where distancing isn’t possible, btw) on Monday, July 6th.

We hope our readers will be able to take some time, too, this summer for breaks. One thing we’ve come to realize after so much time indoors accompanied by an elevated level of work, is mental health is extremely important and that can come with a little conscientious self care. For us, right now that means a six-day shutdown.

The site isn’t going anywhere of course. We just won’t have anything new until next week. So until then, we wish you health, happiness and hope you and yours are all safe and sound.
