Hamilton getting new film, TV production hub

HAMILTON, ON – Some 500,000 square feet of new stage space is coming to Hamilton in a move that could catapult the city into an international hub for film, television and digital media production.Film and TV studios developer Aeon Studio Group (ASG) said Tuesday that the Hamilton Studio District, billed as a live-work-play development, will include a production campus with modern soundstages, production offices and backlot, with other studios for post-production, animation, visual effects, game development, and music.  The space will also include a crew training facility, workspaces for the artistic and creative industry community, two residential towers and an open public area.“Hamilton...
