TORONTO – Long-time sales executive Dan Hamilton is leaving Citytv, the Rogers TV Sales Group announced today. His last day will be February 15th, 2008.
“It has been a pleasure and an honour working with our agencies and clients over the past 24 years on behalf of Citytv and the former CHUM Television brands,” said Hamilton, in a release. “I look forward to seeing great developments on this remarkable Citytv brand under Rogers leadership.”
His future plans were not announced.
“We are extremely grateful for Dan’s numerous years of excellent service and professionalism,” expressed Mitch Dent, executive vice-president, sales, Rogers Media, Television. “He has been instrumental in the transition and integration of the Citytv and OMNI sales teams and we are thankful that he has agreed to stay until mid-February to help facilitate this process.”
Hamilton has been a staple in the television ad sales industry since joining CHUM Television in 1983 and has contributed to the industry on a number of different levels including his numerous years of service with Television Bureau of Canada Sales Advisory Committee and as a Canadian Association of the Broadcast Representatives (CABR) board member.
