Gusto’s DNA Dinners wins Taste award for best series pilot

OTTAWA — Gusto TV’s DNA Dinners won the Best Series Pilot award at last month’s Taste Awards, held March 9 in Los Angeles. The Taste Awards recognize excellence in lifestyle programs, series, shows and cinema.

Gusto Worldwide Media made the announcement in a news release on April 6. The DNA Dinners series explores the diverse heritage of 16 individuals as they discover their cultural roots through DNA analysis and celebrate it through cooking, says the news release.

“We made DNA Dinners as an expression of the unifying love for food,” said Chris Knight, president and CEO of Gusto Worldwide Media. “We’re proud to be recognized by our international peers who share in the same profound passion.”

Gusto TV was also recognized for its impact on food and lifestyle broadcast entertainment, with an induction into the Taste Hall of Fame in March 2020.
