Green named to SCTE BoD, LaJoie’s term extended

EXTON, PA – Former CableLabs president and CEO, Dr. Richard Green, has been named to the SCTE board of directors.  The SCTE also extended the current board term for appointed director-at-large and Time Warner Cable CTO Mike LaJoie.

Green has been appointed for a two-year director-at-large term, while LaJoie’s tenure has been extended for one year. The two technology leaders, whose work has contributed significantly to such services as advanced video, high-speed data and telephony, will be actively involved in guiding new programs that will help SCTE and its membership to drive deployment of the next generation of cable technology.

“The accomplishments of Dick Green and Mike LaJoie have repeatedly created new opportunities for our industry and its technical workforce,” said Bob Foote, chairman of the SCTE board of directors, in the announcement. “We’re fortunate to be able to draw on their considerable talents and expertise, and look forward to working with them to hone strategic directions that will benefit the members of SCTE, and the industry at large.”
