IROQUOIS, Ont. — Alpha TV, one of the top broadcasters in Greece, has purchased a Synergy 4 MD-X multi-definition production switcher from Ross Video, a Canadian company that designs, manufactures, and supports products for use in broadcast, distribution, live event, and production applications.
The Synergy MD-X series are fully equipped multi-definition production switchers supporting a wide variety of SD and HD video formats. Synergy MD-X does not require upgrades when moving from SD to HD.
The switcher is being used for Alpha TV’s prime-time news bulletin, which is broadcast from its main news studio, and is also equipped with a large rear projection multi-viewer. The installation was completed in October 2005. Alpha TV boasts some of the best and most popular news, variety, entertainment and current affairs programs.
