
OTTAWA – The governments of Canada and Quebec today announced a combined $398,610 from the federal Universal Broadband Fund’s rapid response stream and the province’s Operation High Speed, will be used to bring high-speed Internet to 55 households in rural Quebec.
This includes $28,125 from each government for a project benefitting the community of L’Épiphanie, $134,130 from each government for a project in Boucherville and $37,050 from each government for a project in Bromont, a press release explains.
All three projects are being completed by Bell.
“In addition to our own fully funded capital investments, we are proud to invest an additional $132,000 to partner with the governments of Canada and Quebec in providing more residents in L’Épiphanie, Bromont and Boucherville with access to the fastest fibre home Internet speeds available,” said Karine Moses, Québec vice-chair, Bell, in the press release.
