Governments of Canada, PEI announce $20M to connect province to high-speed Internet

Feds also announce $1.5 million to connect 1,046 homes in the province OTTAWA – The federal government today announced a new partnership with the province of Prince Edward Island, which will see them jointly invest up to $20 million to bring high-speed Internet to all underserved homes in rural communities throughout the province. Each government will contribute up to $10 million, which will help connect approximately 2,000 homes in the province. “Both the governments of Canada and Prince Edward Island will work with local communities, including Indigenous communities, to achieve the national target of connecting 98% of Canadians by 2026...
