Government of Saskatchewan appeals VOIP decision

REGINA - The Province of Saskatchewan, which owns provincial telco SaskTel, today filed an appeal to the federal cabinet over the CRTC’s voice over Internet protocol decision of May 12th. "This government is committed to the development of a competitive environment in Saskatchewan, we encourage the entrance of new service providers and we believe in providing the people of this province with competitive choices," Minister responsible for SaskTel Maynard Sonntag said in a statement released today.
