Goodbye, RIM: BlackBerry makes new name change official

WATERLOO, ON – BlackBerry announced today that its shareholders approved a special resolution to officially change the company’s name from Research in Motion Ltd to BlackBerry Ltd. at the annual shareholders meeting on July 9. The company first unveiled the name change on Jan. 30th during the launch of its new BlackBerry Q10 and Z10 smartphones.
