GOLTV connects soccer fans with World Cup Soccer preview


TORONTO – Don’t let the fact that you’re not in Germany stop you from getting into the World Cup.

While GOLTV previews Germany 2006 with The Contenders series finale June 8 from 9:00 – 11:00 pm ET, soccer fans can text message responses to questions asked throughout the show with real time percentages and animations changing as they come in by following the instructions on the bottom of the screen.

Host Lee Godfrey leads an all-star lineup of soccer analysts, experts, and players to get fans ready for one of the largest sporting events in the world.

Former Canadian International, Paul James, along with Jim Brennan, current member of the Canadian National Team, and Globe and Mail columnist Peter Mallet debate predictions, even rule changes.

Players weighing in include Tottenham Hotspur defender of the English Premier League and current Canadian International Paul Stalteri; Vancouver Whitecaps Director of Soccer Operations and former Canadian National Team member and Manager Bob Lenarduzzi; and the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Tom Anselmi.
