
TORONTO – Corus Entertainment’s Global Television announced today the start of production for season four of Canadian private investigator series, Private Eyes.
Produced with partner Entertainment One (eOne), season four will feature 12 new episodes, where Shade (Jason Priestley) and Everett (Cindy Sampson, at right) have their hands full of new twisty, thrilling, and dangerous cases to solve.
“We’re so pleased to begin Season 4 of Global’s standout hit,” said Lisa Godfrey, Corus’ vice-president of original content, in the press release. “After three incredibly successful seasons, Private Eyes continues to resonate with audiences, and we are proud to support such a successful Canadian original scripted series.”
“Private Eyes has found a large and faithful audience around the globe, with season three the current top-rated scripted series in Canada,” added Jocelyn Hamilton, eOne’s Canadian TV president.
Along with starring in the series, co-star Cindy Sampson will also take on the role of director for one episode this season.
With production underway on the new season, viewers can catch season three of Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global until the finale on Wednesday, August 7. Currently averaging over one million viewers each week, Private Eyes continues to capture audiences as the #1 drama this summer, said the release, quoting Numeris stats.
