TORONTO – Global News will launch its new national current affairs program The West Block with Tom Clark this Sunday at 11am ET/10am PT/12pm AT, three weeks after it was originally scheduled to begin.
Hosted by broadcast veteran Clark, who is also Global News’ new chief political correspondent, the weekly show from Parliament Hill seeks to cut through the spin and political jargon to make issues accessible to all Canadians. Viewers are encouraged to join the conversation and weigh in on topics via Skype, Twitter, Facebook and email.
“The West Block with Tom Clark gets viewers involved by focusing on the issues they care most about, then demanding answers to these concerns directly from those in charge,” said Global News VP Troy Reeb, in the announcement. “Tom and the West Block team will give Canadians the chance to sidestep stuffy, one-sided political baffle-gab to get straight to the answers from the country’s top politicians and thought leaders.”
