TORONTO – Telehop Communications said Wednesday that it has not reached agreement with Globalive on the purchase price for Telehop, a $10.7 million deal which was announced in July.
“At this time discussions between the parties are continuing on a non-exclusive basis as the board of directors looks to maximize the value for all shareholders,” said the Telehop release.
Telehop provides phone services such as the 10-10-xxx long distance option and VOIP – as does Globalive.
Globalive, which has designs on being a national wireless operator, and faces some obstacles, and just paid over $440 million for wireless spectrum rights, did not issue a statement on the matter.
