TORONTO – Ahead of the January series premiere of its new drama, Nurses, Global TV has launched a national recognition campaign for nurses across the country with “Thank A Nurse.”

Designed to recognize “the unsung heroes of healthcare,” says the press release, Canadians can use the hashtag #ThankANurse and tag @globaltv on Twitter and Instagram to nominate or submit the name of a nurse or healthcare worker (currently working in Canada) to be featured on GlobalTV.com, the network’s social platforms, and for the chance to appear on Global’s The Morning Show.

Or, nurse fans who are on Twitter can simply retweet this special message from Nurses star Tiera Skovbye (Riverdale) and add their favourite nurse’s name.

Or, Canadians can email a special health care worker’s name, city and hospital or healthcare organization they work at, with a short reason explaining why they deserve to be recognized for their work. Send emails to GlobalPR@corusent.com.

Thank A Nurse submissions will be accepted from now until January 1.
