Global TV Ontario lets veterans go in restructuring

TORONTO – Three Global Television operations executives were recently let go by CanWest MediaWorks, www.cartt.ca has learned. Last week, director of broadcast operations at Global Television Ontario, Ed Holmes, and Ann McGuire, director of post production and technical services for Global Ontario were both fired in what was termed a restructuring, a source told www.cartt.ca. Holmes had been with Global for 28 years, McGuire for six, four of which was spent with CanWest’s former production arm, Fireworks Entertainment.
