TORONTO – Global Toronto will launch its new lunchtime newscast on August 27 beginning at 12 noon.
Hosted by Antony Robart and Rosey Edeh, the 30 minute show will cover everything happening in the Greater Toronto Area, from breaking news to entertainment and feature stories, while allowing for a greater flow of information across all newscasts. To develop this continuity, Edeh and Robart will contribute to other Global Toronto news programming, with Edeh joining The Morning Show team on August 27, and Robart continuing to file breaking news stories for the News Hour at 5:30pm.
"The News at Noon completes Global Toronto's weekday news offering by allowing us to continuously report on and update stories, while supporting Global News' overall vision of making news content available around the clock regardless of the platform," said Ward Smith, news director and station manager for Global Toronto, in the press release.
