REGINA and WINNIPEG – Global News will be launching new weekly public affairs program in Saskatchewan and Manitoba this weekend.
Focus Saskatchewan, hosted by legislative correspondent Tom Vernon, will explore the topics and the issues of most importance to viewers in the lead-up to the November 7th provincial election and beyond. It will premiere on October 15 at 6:30pm on Global Regina and Global Saskatoon.
The show’s launch coincides with the opening of the Global News provincial legislative bureau and the appointment of Vernon as its legislative correspondent.
Focus Manitoba, hosted by senior reporter Lauren McNabb, will cover politics, business, innovation, the arts community and other topics that best reflect Manitoba to Manitobans. It will debut on October 15 at 6:30pm on Global Winnipeg.
McNabb will also be contributing to the Evening News at 6pm, Prime News 10pm and News Final at 11pm as Global Winnipeg’s senior reporter.
