CALGARY — Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, Global Calgary announced Tuesday Cami Kepke (pictured left) is the network’s new weekend sports anchor. Effective immediately, Kepke is joining the Global News Hour at 6 Weekend and Global News at 11 Weekend anchor teams of Jayme Doll and Jodi Hughes.

Kepke has been a journalist with Global Calgary since April 2019. She previously worked as a digital broadcast journalist/anchor with the Global Regina team. With a passion for telling unique news and sports stories, she won an RTDNA for Sports Feature Reporting in 2017.

Kepke’s career began in Northern B.C. as a radio reporter and team host for the Prince George Cougars, before crossing the country to join CTV Atlantic. She graduated with honours from the Broadcast News Program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2015.

In addition, Global Calgary announced previously that Blake Lough (pictured right) is joining the Global News Morning Weekend team of Tracy Nagai and Gemma Lynne Stroobant, as the new co-anchor starting on March 8.

Lough has been a journalist with Global Calgary since 2018. Previously, he worked at Global Regina where he was the anchor of Global News at 6 and host of Focus Saskatchewan. Lough began his career with Global Lethbridge where he covered major stories such as the 2015 Alberta general election and the high-profile Derek Saretzky murder case.

In the past three years, Lough has won four RTDNA awards for his work, including the Dave Rogers National Award for Best Long Feature for his story on Saskatchewan’s culture of drinking and driving. Originally from the Ottawa Valley, Lough is a graduate of the broadcast journalism program at Niagara College.
