Glentel seals deal for US wireless retailer Diamond Wireless

BURNABY - Wireless retailer Glentel has completed its US$50.45 million purchase of Diamond Wireless.After announcing the acquisition in August, Glentel said that it has satisfied all conditions required to purchase 81.5% of the Utah-based Verizon premier retailer. Diamond Wireless operates 132 stores in 11 U.S. states stretching from Washington to Texas, primarily in malls. It will open six more stores this year, plus an additional 40 mall-based stores in 2011.The deal means that Glentel now operates 412 retail stores - 280 Canada retail division stores of WirelessWave plus 120 Wave Sans Fil; 82 Tbooth wireless/la cabine T sans fil; and 78 Wireless Etc./Sans Fil...
