TORONTO – In a unique twist in holiday gift giving, TVO is urging Ontarians to wrap up a minute of programming.
The educational broadcaster has kicked off a seasonal campaign called ‘Give a Minute for Great TV’ that offers the ability to support programming from its features, current affairs and kids categories. A gift of one minute of programming costs $30, two minutes may be purchased for $60, three for $90 and so on. Shoppers may buy one minute or an entire program, and will receive an immediate tax receipt and e-card.
"TVO's symbolic gifts offer the opportunity to select meaningful gifts for friends and family who value quality programming that makes you think," said Allan Gregg, host of Allan Gregg in Conversation and TVO’s fundraising campaign chair. “Donations to TVO support educational media that nurtures a love of learning in Ontario's children and programs that inspire, inform and foster citizen engagement in people of all ages across Ontario."
