TORONTO – German TV channel ProSiebenSat.1 Welt has launched a new app and web site which will allow customers in 17 countries, including Canada, access to its content on any device.

Since 2005, Canadian and North American viewers have been able to enjoy the channel’s programming on a number of BDUs but the new app and web site now allows subscribers access anywhere.

ProSiebenSat.1 Welt has a wide array of television programming and is now also available over the internet for 7.90 Euro (approximately $12 CDN) per month and can be cancelled at any point after a month. A free one week trial is available for those who wish to test the service.

"Every year, more than 100,000 Germans move abroad. Our web site and app will help them keep up-to-date with events back at home, and perhaps help them feel a little less homesick," said Zeljko Karajica, managing director ProSiebenSat.1 TV Germany, in the press release.
