Future of cable front and centre at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo general session

EXTON, PA – A who’s who of cable executives will articulate their visions of how technology innovation is shaping the future of the industry when the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) hosts the opening general session of SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2015 on Wednesday, October 14.

Cox Communications president Pat Esser will moderate a panel of industry thought leaders who will provide their views on a wide range of topics, including broadband network investment, energy management, the connected home, business services and others. Panelists will include:

– Balan Nair, executive vice president and Chief Technology Officer of Liberty Global Inc. and the program chair for SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2015;

– Nomi M. Bergman, president of Bright House Networks;

– Phil McKinney, president and CEO of CableLabs; and

– John Schanz, executive vice president and Chief Network Officer of Comcast Cable Communications.

The opening general session will begin at 8:30 AM at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.  The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo schedule begins with a Tuesday, October 13 symposium on Cybersecurity featuring a keynote by John N. Stewart, senior vice president and Chief Security and Trust Officer for Cisco Systems Inc.
