TORONTO – As today is International Women’s Day, Canadian Women in Communications and the Globe and Mail are running a full-page ad recognizing seven women in the telecom, media and technology industries who are receiving one of the CWC’s Annual Awards for leadership this year.
“These remarkable women have not only changed the game for women in the industry, they’ve changed the landscape of Canadian communications, broadcasting and ICT,” said Marye Ménard-Bos, CWC Annual Awards Gala Committee Chair 2013, in a release. “We’re delighted they are being recognized this way.”
The award presentations will take place at CWC’s Annual Awards Gala at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa on April 16, 2013. Juno-award-winning R&B singer-songwriter Jully Black will emcee the event, which is expected to attract about 500 of the who’s who in Canadian broadcasting, telecom, technology and government.
