TORONTO – In its first phase of repositioning fashiontelevision.com as a premiere, broadband, fashion portal. CHUM Television’s tore the wrapper off the relaunch today.
The web site now features long form web exclusive video content, episodes from the global fashion show FT-FashionTelevision, and a portable podcast available for fashionistas on the go.
Updated daily, the site is divided into five channels – Models, Designers, Photography, World of Design, and News, giving viewers immediate access to FT content. Each channel features an ever-expanding exclusive video catalogue of un-edited designer interviews, the latest runways from the fashion capitals of the world, and entertaining profiles on the people who make this world turn.
"We are focused on making www.fashiontelevision.com the premiere online fashion destination for the fashion forward community and advertisers who love them", says Maria Hale, vice-president content business development, CHUM Television. "By the end of the year the site will also feature behind the scenes information with blogs, newsletters and an “Ask Jeanne” feature as well as photo galleries and more.”
FT is already seen in over 120 countries and has made host Jeanne Beker a global fashion star – and now the company can get to a whole new potential audience in countries that can’t see the show, "who will be able to view FashionTelevision’s videos, whenever they want and wherever they are, simply by pushing a button” said Jay Levine, director of production, FashionTelevision. “The latest additions to our web site ensure we are the instant world leader in our domain.”
CHUM also operates FashionTelevisionChannel, a digital category one specialty service available to all digital TV subscribers in Canada.
