TORONTO – Rogers Cable today announced that it will offer a free preview of RAI International on channel 59 to its non-digital cable customers in Ontario.
The free preview will run from Monday, June 20th to 12 p.m. Sunday, June 26th.
RAI International is a 24-hour international programming service of Italy’s public broadcaster targeted at Italian-speaking communities. It offers a broad range of programs including feature films, news and entertainment. RAI International is currently available in 238 countries around the world, including the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Customers who subscribe to Rogers Digital Cable can also watch a free preview of RAI International on channel 610 until July 15th.
"Since Rogers launched RAI International in early June to its digital cable subscribers, the interest in this channel has exceeded our expectations," said David Purdy, vice president and general manager, television for Rogers Cable. "We want to offer all our non-digital cable customers a free preview, so they can see the range of programming that RAI International has to offer."
Rogers Digital Cable customers can purchase RAI International for $2.45/month. Customers require a digital set-up box, which they can rent for $5.99/month or purchase starting at $99.
