Former Videotron CEO Brouillette leaves Verizon post

NEW YORK – Verizon Communications announced yesterday that Manon Brouillette has stepped down from her position as CEO of the consumer group.

Brouillette took on the role at the beginning of the year, after she joined the American telecom firm in June 2021 as chief operating officer and deputy CEO of the company’s consumer group. The consumer group was formed in January 2019, and is intended to deliver “new, best-in-class customer experiences on Verizon’s leading 4G, 5G and fiber optic networks,” the company said.

“We thank Manon for her service to our customers and her contribution to Verizon Consumer Group,” said Verizon chairman and CEO Hans Vestberg in a press release. “My immediate focus for the Consumer Group will be on driving a closer consistency between the top quality network product we’re bringing to market and the operational results we’re producing.”

As CEO of the Verizon consumer group, she was tasked with “leveraging our investment in C-band [spectrum] and the pending Tracfone acquisition” and scaling “our Consumer business across home and mobile,” the company said back in November 2021.

Brouillette left Videotron at the end of 2018 and was replaced by Jean-François Pruneau as CEO of the Quebecor telecom subsidiary.
