Former Quebecor exec Dépatie returns to food industry

MONTREAL – Former Quebecor CEO Robert Dépatie is trading cable for chicken, after being named as the new head of the St-Hubert restaurant and food chain.According to a report in the Montreal Gazette, Dépatie (pictured) will take over St-Hubert in February.  Founded in 1951, St-Hubert has more than 10,000 employees and 100 chicken rotisserie restaurants mainly in Quebec, but also in Ontario and New Brunswick. Its retail division makes sauces, soups, ribs and meat pies for sale in supermarkets.The move marks a return to the food industry for the 56 year old executive who previously worked at Heinz Canada and Planters. ...
