MONTREAL – The Quebec Film and Television Council (QFTC) has appointed Chanelle Routhier as its national commissioner.
Routhier (pictured) has over 17 years of experience in management, sales, marketing, and film and television distribution in Canada and abroad, most recently as manager, sales and market development at the NFB.
“We are very enthusiastic and proud to welcome Chanelle Routhier to this key position,” said QFTC managing director Pierre Moreau, in Wednesday’s announcement. “Chanelle will focus on representation and business development at the national and international levels to ensure that Quebec attracts advantageous financial opportunities that will make use of our assets and highlight our expertise, and more generally our vast pool of talent, both locally and abroad.”
Ariane Dagenais-Plante, recently named coordinator for the production services department, will be the intermediary between clients, service providers, Quebec film agencies and Jennifer Price, the QFTC representative in Los Angeles, continued the announcement.
Created in 2005, the QFTC is a non-profit organization that contributes to the development and competitiveness of Quebec as a world-class multi-screen production centre. As an economic development agency, its mission is to generate investment in Quebec by relying on competitive tax incentive programs, the expertise of industry members, architectural diversity, the quality of infrastructure and the industry’s ability to export its products to foreign markets.
