Former N.B. premier to lord over wireless industry

OTTAWA – Bernard Lord has been named the new president and CEO of the Ottawa-based Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association, effective Monday. The former Premier of New Brunswick – who led the province with two successive majorities from 1999 to 2006, when his PC party lost to the provincial Liberals, was most recently senior counsel at the McCarthy Tétrault law firm and serves as a director for several corporate and non-profit organizations.
