Former Cabletel CEO Walling running for Liberals

LINDSAY, Ont. – Greg Walling, who was the last president and CEO of former equipment distribution company Cabletel (which was once the largest distribution company in Canada but suffered through years of financial and operational difficulties before it was purchased and rolled into Power & Tel Canada in 2004) is running for office. Walling is the Liberal candidate for the Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock riding in Ontario’s cottage country. The incumbent is Conservative MP Barry Devolin. In the June 2004 federal election, Devolin defeated the former Liberal candidate, John O’Reilly, by over 4,000 votes.
