Former Bell Media exec named VP scripted at marblemedia

TORONTO – marblemedia has named Carrie Paupst Shaughnessy to the newly created role of vice-president of scripted, effective immediately.

Shaughnessy (pictured) joins marblemedia from Bell Media where she was production executive on the drama team.  Prior to that, she spent over seven years at Telefilm Canada, and has also worked on the experimental team for the Canada Media Fund.

In her new role, Shaughnessy will continue to source, develop and oversee the scripted projects for marblemedia while building on the company’s relationships with broadcasters and co-producing partners and creators.  She will also oversee the company’s current scripted slate including Alchemy (Cirque du Soleil, Showcase), Dark Horse (Seven24 Films, Corus Entertainment) and Held.
