TORONTO – A new mobile video clips service is now available to customers of Rogers Wireless, Telus, and Bell Mobility from Score Media.
It will also be available on Amp’d Mobile (which runs on the Telus network) upon Amp’d’s launch in Canada tomorrow, March 14th.
The new service (available by subscription or on a pay-per-clip basis, depending on the carrier) will give viewers access to Score programming, packaged specifically for mobile viewing in two-to-three minute clips.
Score Mobile Video will feature exclusive mobile coverage of the NCAA March Madness tournament, which begins today, including previews, in-game highlights, features and fantasy analysis.
Other Score-branded programming on-the-go includes Cabbie on the Street, Branded, The Spin, Hardcore Championship Fighting, and fantasy analysis from The Score’s experts.
"Score Mobile Video gives hardcore sports fans access to their favourite Score content, including extensive coverage of NCAA March Madness, when and where they want it" said Benjamin Levy, senior vice-president of Score Media Ventures. "We are thrilled to be working in partnership with all of Canada’s major mobile carriers as we continue to execute our multi-platform sports content strategy."
Score Mobile Video is the company’s second mobile offering. In November ’05, Score Media launched Score Mobile 1.0, a downloadable java application that allows fans to get scores and odds for every major sports league, presented in the same fashion as the Score Ticker seen on television.
