Food Network’s Fire Masters returns April 16

TORONTO — Food Network Canada’s original grilling competition series Fire Masters (15×60) is returning for a second season, starting April 16. The channel is currently on free preview nationwide until May 31 as part of the Canadian TV industry’s response to the Covid-19 crisis.

Professional chef Dylan Benoit returns as host and will be joined by a rotating panel of expert judges and notable culinary personalities. Each episode will challenge three chefs to show off their grilling talents and creativity in two culinary challenges, cooking up dishes that will be assessed by the judges. Two chefs will be eliminated, and the last one standing will go head-to-head with a renowned judge in the third and final round, vying for a $10,000 cash prize and the title of Fire Masters Champion, says the news release.

This season’s Fire Masters competitors hail from cities across North America, including Toronto, Kelowna, Miami and New York City. A roster of new and returning sponsors enter the Fire Masters arena this season, including Napoleon, Certified Angus Beef, Tourism PEI and Miller Lite.

Fire Masters is produced by Architect Films in association with Corus Studios for Food Network Canada. For Architect Films, Tanya Linton and Mike Sheerin are executive producers and Jennifer Pratt is series producer. For Corus Studios and Food Network Canada, Debbie Brown is executive in charge of production, Krista Look is director of original lifestyle content, and Lisa Godfrey is vice-president of original content for Corus Entertainment.
