Quebecor announced Monday the western Canada beta launch of Videotron’s discount wireless brand Fizz has been expanded to include Victoria and Abbotsford.
Last month, the fully digital wireless brand announced its beta launch in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.
“True to Fizz’s DNA of thinking outside the box, testing and innovating, this beta launch is the first step in a gradual expansion into other Canadian markets over the coming months,” reads a Fizz press release. “By being the first to experience it, the beta testers will help Fizz fine-tune its product and services. In return, they can enjoy deeply discounted rates of up to 90% for six months.”
Full details of the Fizz beta offer are available at fizz.ca by selecting “British Columbia” from the website’s top menu.
“We are happy to allow more people to experience it Fizz, an entirely different breed of wireless carrier that goes above and beyond to spoil its tight-knit community of members with game-changing benefits,” said Pierre Karl Peladeau, president and CEO of Quebecor, parent company of Fizz, in the release. “When it comes to wireless services, we firmly believe that Canadians deserve more competition, better products, and lower prices. This is exactly what Fizz is all about.”
Some of the features offered by Fizz plans include automatic data rollover and the ability to gift mobile data to other Fizz community members.
