Fiorella Grossi named head of development for Peace Point


TORONTO – Peace Point Entertainment has appointed Fiorella Grossi as the new Head of Development. Overseeing Peace Point’s Toronto based development team as well as the company’s development executives in Los Angeles and New York, Grossi will be responsible for assessing channel needs in Canada and the USA and grow the company’s already extensive slate of quality, award-winning content. She will also work closely with Peace Points Digital Team and international distribution division Peace Point Rights.

Grossi has more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, and prior to joining Peace Point she was a Director of Original Production in the Factual and Lifestyle Content divisions at Shaw Media Channels including History, HGTV, Slice and TVtropolis. There she also oversaw the formats of Wipeout Canada and Intervention Canada. Her extensive production experience includes show runner for top rated series’ for Slice including eOne’s Party Mamas and Cineflix’s Wedding SOS.

As a co-founder of U8TV, Canada’s first Internet TV channel, which was a joint venture with Alliance Atlantis, her responsibilities included building and managing the only fully integrated convergent production facility in the country. She was also a show runner for some of the channel’s TV series, including The Lofters, LoveShack and SoGayTV, which at the time, were industry leading. A trained journalist, Fiorella started her television production career at CTV’s Canada AM and was a supervising producer for Entertainment Tonight Canada.
