Fido boosts launches in NB, NS, with $100,000 donation to local SPCAs


MONCTON, NB – Fido marked the launch of five kiosk locations in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Friday with a special $100,000 donation to local SPCAs in the region through its FidoCares program.

“Fido is known for being an affordable and loyal carrier that truly cares about its customers and we're excited to launch in the Maritimes,” said Cameron McFadyen, Fido’s marketing director, in a release. “We are honoured to make this contribution to the community and to help local SPCA organizations provide necessary animal care and services.”

The company launched three new kiosks in New Brunswick in Moncton, Fredericton and Saint John, and two in Halifax, NS. More Fido locations will launch this summer, including one Fido kiosk in Dartmouth, NS and an additional 20 third-party locations.

The FidoCares donation for shelters in Saint John, Fredericton, Charlottetown, Moncton and Halifax will support programs and services for animal protection, care and rehabilitation, advocacy and education.
