Federal government to launch another broadband plan Thursday

WAKEFIELD, Que. - Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, will be in Wakefield Thursday morning in order to make “an important announcement about enhancing broadband access across the country.”Along with local MP Will Amos, they will speak at the local library (Wakefield is about a 30 minute drive north of Gatineau) and also highlight a local project funded under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.This comes close on the heels of the recently launched SWIFT program, which is meant to aid southwestern Ontario broadband.Watch Cartt.ca for more on this on Thursday.
