Fans can elect all-stars with their wireless phone

TORONTO – Bell Canada and the National Hockey League is taking its COLD-fX NHL All-Star Fan Balloting presented by 2KSports digital, allowing Bell Mobility customers across Canada to vote for their favorite players with their Bell Mobility cell phones or online at NHL.com through Sympatico.MSN.ca, which is the official portal of the NHL in Canada, says a press release.

(Ed note: And that is an official record – seven brand mentions in a single sentence.)

Wireless fan balloting will help choose the starting lineup of the 2007 NHL All-Star Game, to be held January 24, 2007 in Dallas. Canadian fans everywhere can “Click to Vote” until January 2, 2007.

"We’re proud to help the NHL take this important fan-based event into the digital sphere," said Andrew Wright, director, business development, Bell Mobility.

Voters are also eligible for a chance to win a trip to the NHL All-Star Game and a chance to meet 16-time All-Star and NHL legend Mark Messier at the game.
